Travel in the footsteps of Burke & Wills, stand at Cameron Corner where three states meet, explore the ancient landscapes of the Flinders Ranges, and journey across desert tracks pioneered by cattle kings and explorers.
Day 1 – Broken Hill to Wilpena Pound (Flinders Ranges)Depart Broken Hill and head west into South Australia, entering the dramatic ranges of the northern Flinders Ranges.
Arrive at Wilpena Pound, a spectacular natural amphitheatre surrounded by rugged peaks. Walk to Wangarra Lookout or explore historic Hills Homestead before settling into comfortable resort accommodation.

Travel north via Parachilna and the Oodnadatta Track country to the historic railhead town of Marree.
Marree is the gateway to the legendary Birdsville Track and the vast inland basin.
Optional scenic flight over Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre (additional cost) — one of Australia’s most extraordinary landscapes, especially when holding water.
Explore the Afghan cameleer history, the old Ghan railway relics, and the immense salt lakes of the region.
2 Nights: Marree

Journey into the Gammon Ranges to remote Arkaroola Wilderness Sanctuary.
A geological wonderland of folded mountains, ancient rock and deep time.

Travel north-east along sections of the historic Strzelecki Track, pioneered by cattle drovers and explorers.
Pass the Moomba oil and gas fields before arriving at Innamincka on the banks of the mighty Cooper Creek.
Sunset reflections over the creek are unforgettable.
Overnight: Innamincka
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Morning visit to Burkes Grave site, and then the historic Burke and Wills Dig Tree, one of Australia’s most significant exploration sites.
Continue through remote desert landscapes toward Cameron Corner — the junction of NSW, QLD and SA.
Cross the Dog Fence and enter Tibooburra, the most remote town in NSW.
Overnight: Tibooburra Hotel
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Explore historic Milparinka and learn of Charles Sturt’s inland expeditions.
Travel through the stony plains and mesas of Sturt National Park before returning to Broken Hill mid–late afternoon.
Tour concludes in Broken Hill (accommodation own arrangements).
